Joseph Sokol, CEO, CO-FOUNDER
Joseph is a serial technology entrepreneur and the chief visionary and founder of iCardio.ai, serving as CEO since the company's inception. As a technical founder, Joseph embodies the spirit of innovation with a deep commitment to making a positive impact in this world through deep tech. Joseph has interests in echocardiography and artificial intelligence, with scientific publications in JASE and MICCAI, and abstract presentations at ASE (The American Society of Echocardiography) and ACC (American College of Cardiology). Under Joseph's leadership, iCardio.ai was awarded Breakthrough Device Designation by the FDA for iCardio.ai’s AI-powered Aortic Stenosis detection tool and recently received 510(k) FDA clearance for EchoMeasure, iCardio.ai's flagship echo automation product. Prior to co-founding iCardio.ai, Joseph led a variety of successful entrepreneurial endeavors.
Dr. Roman Sandler, Ph.D., CTO, CO-FOUNDER
Dr. Sandler is CTO and Co-Founder of iCardio.ai. Dr. Sandler heads AI research and implementation, data science, and machine learning, and is responsible for clinical and academic institution collaborations, regulatory affairs, clinical research, and grants. Dr. Sandler was responsible for iCardio.ai’s recent 510(k) FDA clearance for EchoMeasure, the company’s flagship echo automation product. Dr. Sandler is a machine learning expert with 12+ years of experience. Prior to joining iCardio.ai in 2022, he led AI and Machine Learning at Intellisense Systems and was a founding member of Kernel, a neurotechnology startup developing the world’s first neuroprosthesis. Dr. Sandler holds a Master’s and Ph.D. in Bioengineering and Biomedical engineering from the University of Southern California.
Dr. Aakriti Gupta, M.D., CHIEF MEDICAL & SCIENTIFIC ADVISOR
Dr. Gupta is Chief Medical and Scientific Advisor and Co-Founder of iCardio.ai. A Yale, Columbia, and Cedars-Sinai trained cardiologist and physician-scientist, Dr. Gupta is board-certified in both general internal medicine and cardiology and currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Interventional and Structural Cardiology at Cedars-Sinai. Dr. Gupta is a renowned cardiologist with over 100+ scientific publications in leading medical journals including Nature Medicine, The Lancet, JACC, and Circulation. She is also a faculty member of the Heart Valve Collaboratory, an organization founded by the FDA and the Cardiovascular Research Foundation (CRF).
